Charlie

With a heavy heart, I am sad to announce our dear boy, Charlie has passed on 4/18/11.  Formerly known as “Soldier,” we adopted  1+ year old Charlie from HMDD on Valentine’s Day in 2005. 

You had a heart of gold and a true zest for life. You were the sweetest and most affectionate and devoted creature we have ever met.  You were so curious, and wanted to discover everything.  You, Charlie boy, are by far the best valentine we have ever received.  It’s unfortunate and unfair that your life here was cut short and taken from us.

We will miss you so much and our lives will not be the same without you. You always made us laugh.  You were constantly being silly and goofy.  You were being you.  Happy.

You were a true fighter and stuck in there and fought osteosarcoma.   I know life on three legs probably wasn’t all what it was cracked up to be, but you were perfect.  Thank you my dear friend, for all the wonderful years you were with us.  You were beyond doubt a Velcro-dog who never left our side.  You loved us.  Your smile and eyes showed how appreciative you were just to be a part of our family.

I know your pain and suffering is gone and I smile as I envision you running and playing at the rainbow bridge.
